Judkins serves as showrunner. The eight-episode first season premiered on Prime Video on November 18, 2022, with the first three episodes being released. The remaining five are set to air on a weekly basis till December 24, 2022.
In May 2022, ahead of the series’ premiere, the series was renewed for a second season. The first season received mixed reviews, with praise for the ambition and with many noting that it captured Jordan’s novels, while criticism focused on the pacing due to the excess of the story.
